What Is The Most Popular Fathers Day Gift?

It seems as though a lot of people are wanting to know what is the most popular fathers day gift.  As gift experts, it is our job to find out.

It seems as though the necktie continues to be a gift for Dad(although as a Father I can’t say it would be on my list of popular gifts), according to the National Retail Federation.  The NRF also predicts this year that consumers will spend about $94.32 on Dad.

The Hot Gift Guys think the gift to give this year is something the whole family can share in, and here we have decided to put our own spin on it.

The most popular fathers day gift to give this year (Drum roll please…) …Time.  There it is.  And it’s inexpensive!  There’s nothing Dad would enjoy more than having a whole day planned around spending time with his family.  No worries, no work, no bills, nothing to fix…just time spent with no stress.

Wake up in the morning, make him breakfast, pack a lunch, and spend the day at the park playing, running, catching, fishing, whatever everyone enjoys.  Make it simple, bring the whole family, and let Dad relax and enjoy a day with all his loved ones around.

Neck ties may have been popular in the past, but Time is what is the most popular fathers day gift this year.  And the memories you make spending the day together, will last a lot longer than the blue and white striped fashion statement you got Dad last year. :-)

Happy Father’s Day!

Inexpensive Father's Day Gift Ideas - The Grill Master

In this installment of our series on inexpensive Father’s Day gift ideas, we’re going to focus on the Dad who likes to cook – with fire.   There’s just something about cooking over fire that Dad’s love.  It probably goes back to our ancestors – the caveman.

But, modern cavemen now have tools that go way beyond rubbing two sticks together  ;-) .  And here’s a list of those tools that won’t cost you more than $20, and Dad will love them!

Weber 7416 Rapidfire Charcoal Chimney Starter-

The best way to start Charcoal.  In about 20 minutes you’ll have nice red coals putting off even heat.  And you don’t need any lighter fluid.  So there’s no impurities going into your food.

Charcoal Companion Non-Stick Reversible Rib Rack-

Dad’s love smoking ribs – and can probably do it without a rack.  But sometimes having the right tool can make all the difference in the finished product.  That’s definitely the case here.  The Rib Rack will make Dad’s next batch of smoked ribs easier for him, with a more consistent finished product!

Charcoal Companion Digital Fork Thermometer-

The best 19.99 you’ll spend.  If Dad doesn’t have a meat thermometer, this is a great one.  I use mine all the time, whether I’m smoking or cooking on the grill.  Dad will know when the meat’s done to perfection every time!

2″ BBQ Grill Thermometer-

This is a must have, especially if Dad likes slow cooking meats to get a nice smoked flavor.  He’ll know immediately when his fire needs more coals, or if he’s got it burning just a little too hot.  And it’s easy to install!

Kingsford 3-Piece Kentucky BBQ Tool Set-

A good grilling tool set always comes in handy.  That way Dad doesn’t have to use the tongs or spatulas from the kitchen (which are usually too short and cause arm hairs to singe ;-) ).

If Dad loves to cook on the grill, then he’s sure to love any of these inexpensive Father’s Day gift ideas.  And I’d be willing to be there’s at least one item on our list that Dad doesn’t have!

Father’s Day Golf Gift – The Floppy

The Floppy

The Floppy Indoor Golf Ball!

Looking for a different Father’s Day golf gift? Does your Dad love to golf?

If you answered yes, and your Dad wishes he had more time to practice, but he can’t always get to the course, maybe The Floppy is a gift your Dad will get a lot of use out of.

“What is The Floppy?” you ask. It is an interesting practice golf ball that can be used indoors. Yes…Indoors.

It’s not light like a wiffle ball though. (I enjoy being able to
practice in a small space with them, but it never feels like you’re hitting a real ball.)

The Floppy has the same feel and response as a golf ball, but it’s soft enough to bounce off of walls and glass without causing harm.

It’s a great way for your Dad to be able to practice his short game in his office or at home. If it’s raining, or he simply can’t get to the course, he can still stay sharp on his golf game.

As they say, Practice makes perfect, and The Floppy is a great Father’s Day Golf Gift that will help your Dad shave a few strokes off his next game.

Happy Father’s Day!

P.S.  A four pack of The Floppy normally sells for $19.95 direct from the manufacturer, but we found them for $15.95 for a limited time on Amazon. Hurry before the deal expires!
